A new Nashville post-secondary program called Segue 61 is looking to rewrite the rules for music industry education.
Instead of four years, the program lasts only eight months. But what Segue 61 lacks in duration it makes up with in intensity. The immersive approach teaches the students every aspect of the music industry, no matter what a student aspires to do after school. That means would-be singers, studio musicians and booking agents take the same workshops on recording, tour management strategies and music publishing.
